1.High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter (HEPA) is one of the most popular technologies currently in use. The standard HEPA filter is capable of absorbing 99.7% of suspended particles with a size of 0.3 microns. It effectively removes particulate contaminants from the air. This technology seems to be very effective in dealing with smog, but in practice, there are still many flaws. First of all, we must ensure that the air purifier has a good airtight setting, otherwise it will lose the filtering effect; secondly, its wind resistance is relatively large, it is difficult to actually apply it to the air purifier.


2.Activated carbon filter. Air Purifying Activated Carbon is an internationally recognized high efficiency adsorbent material. In the "World War I", it was applied to the gas mask. Activated carbon is a porous carbonaceous material with a developed void structure that can easily adsorb toxic and harmful gases from the air. The principle of activated carbon purification has also been widely used for air purification in automobiles or indoors.


3.Electrostatic filter technology. The electrostatic filter technology is an upgraded version of HEPA. It is equipped with a non-woven fabric loaded with electrostatic electret to collect dust, which can effectively block particulate pollutants larger than 0.1 micron in the air, such as dust, pollen and bacteria. Its advantages are also very obvious: low wind resistance, high efficiency, high dust capacity, safety and energy saving. Currently, this technology is mainly used in automobiles, airports and high-end restaurants.
